EVENT DIGITAL MARKETING INTERN
POSITION SUMMARY
The responsibilities of the Event Digital Marketing Intern may include, but is not limited to: drawing in artists to participate in the festival, advertising the festival to the public, maintaining the festival’s social media presence (including content creation), livestreaming events, aiding with other technical components of the festival such as stage sound and lighting, assisting with updating the Fringe North website, assisting with grant writing, managing online ticket sales, networking, etc.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Familiarity with social media, content creation, and livestream experiences (Facebook Live, YouTube Livestream etc.)
Experience uploading, editing, and tagging content
Experience with WordPress or website development
Experience with stage, lighting, sound, etc.
Grant writing experience is an asset
Shows wise experience with budgeting either at a personal or professional level
Solid planning and organizational skills
Familiarity with Google Docs, Shared Drives, Microsoft programs (Office/Excel/PowerPoint)
Film editing skills (familiarity with Filmora is a bonus)
Experience with Canva or Photoshop is a bonus
Experience with camera work is a bonus
Previous event planning skills or experience is a bonus
Experience with Square payment is a bonus
Access to good quality internet and own laptop/computer is a must

To qualify for the position applicants MUST be a post-secondary student currently enrolled in a related field of study (marketing, digital, film, business). Proof of enrollment and active student status will be required upon hire.
Additionally, to qualify the student MUST be a Canadian citizen.
