At the Fringe, our number one priority is to pay our artists - and that includes street performers! Street performance/busking is hard work.
It takes a lot of practice and rehearsal to build shows like the ones you will see. These artists spend hours practicing so they can deliver shows that intrigue
and amaze. Let's make sure to show them how much we appreciate their hard work and talent. Pass-the-hat is how we make sure these performers get paid, so
think about what this show would be worth, grab your change, your 5s, 10s and 20s, and show these performers how much you love what they do!

The Major League Circus Show is the ultimate tribute to the great game of baseball.  Come on out to the “Ball Game” and grab a seat as Paz knocks it out of the park with acrobatics, juggling, and one-of-a-kind circus stunts. This show is 9 innings of bat flippin’ family friendly fun that’s sure to be a good time for all. Play Ball!

While on his journey back from a far away land that makes magical musical intstruments (and accessories), my clown Grup has accidentally stumbled out of the transportation sun wind and landed upon the Sault. On said journey he earned a magical ukulele by passing a series of relatively difficult skill testing questions. His ukulele, or more accurately his ukulele case is mystical. Once opened, the case cannot be properly closed until some form of worldly currency is fed it. Grup will be eager to explore his new surroundings and the people that come with it. New adventures will be around every corner and tree. While playfully minding his own business, the streets of the Fringe will become his playground, others will begin to play along and add on to his story, songs will appear, and the adventure will spontaneously grow from it’s arrival on August 10 to Grup’s departure via moon wind on the eve of August 14.

GUY SMITH

Guy Smith is a Sault Ste. Marie-based singer/songwriter who collaborates with local musicians to produce and perform his original songs. Thoughtfully reflecting on life, Guy writes songs that that take audiences across the country and around the world.  He is known as an earnest performer who seeks to connect with his audience.  As “Mr. Guy” he entertains the young and young in spirit with his own compositions. MALLORY HURLEY

Mallory was born with a passion for the performing arts and quickly fell in love with the stage. At the age of 7 she had her debut with the Musical Comedy Guild of Sault Ste. Marie singing in Have I Got a Review for you Tony.She has since performed in multiple productions including the Sault Symphony's production of The Sound of Music as Gretle. Tessie in Annie, The Wizard of Oz, Chicago, Fiddler on the Roof, Oliver, and Tommy. For the last year Mallory's focus has been on singing and writing her own songs, some of which she sang recently at the Sault Symphony Music Fest. Mallory is currently working on a recording session she won at the Soo Youth Songwriting Contest. Mallory will be performing her original songs at Fringe.
