Tickets/Revenue

If you are accepted into the Fringe:

You keep 100% of the box office.

The Fringe provides house management, ticketing, and box office volunteers.

You will be included in all Fringe publicity: Fringe North program, website, and overall event publicity.

Tickets and Revenue:

Participating companies/artists receive 100% of their ticket price. Fringe North will provide house management, ticketing, and box office services. Fringe North will set a maximum ticket price prior to the registration process opening in November. Artists may charge less, but not more of the maximum ticket price.

The maximum adult ticket price artists may charge for their performance at Fringe North in 2017 is $12. You may charge less, but not more than $12. Fringe North will offer on-line advance ticket sales. 100% of your tickets will be available in advance. There will be a $2.50 service charge/ticket/order applied to on-line box office and advance on-line ticket purchases. Please Note: Fringe North requires everyone to purchase a Fringe Button (one-time $5 cost) in order to see shows. This policy applies to everyone including special guests.

Do not mail cash. Applicants whose cheques are returned for any reason by the bank will be charged a $25.00 fee and risk losing their performance slot.

Acceptance and Confirmation

Applicants will receive confirmation by email or phone regarding their status. All cheques/money orders/credit card payments for successful applicants will be processed immediately. Participants Fees for applicants on the waiting list will not be processed until there is an opening. Any company on the waiting list may withdraw at any time.

Refund Policy

The Primary Contact is the only individual who may withdraw from the Fringe. Any intent to withdraw must be made in writing by mail or email and is effective from the date the fringe receives the written notice.

On or before May 15, 2017 participants who withdraw lose 50% of their paid fee.

From May 16, 2017 forward participants will forfeit their entire fee.

International Applicants:

It is your responsibility to ensure that you acquire the necessary work(s) visas, work permits, and/or waiver(s). If you do not apply for or receive a waiver, the Fringe is required by law to withhold 15% of ticket revenues and the company must then apply to Revenue Canada for a refund.

Billets:

It is your responsibility to arrange accommodations while you are at the Fringe. Best efforts will be made to billet out of town performers, with priority given to artists who have traveled the farthest distance to attend the festival.
